Section 228 Evidence Act 2011
Section 228 Evidence Act 2011 is titled ‘Questions intended to insult or annoy‘. It is under Part XII (TAKING OF ORAL EVIDENCE AND EXAMINATION OF WITNESSES) of the Act. It states as follows:
The court shall forbid any question which appears to it to be intended to insult or annoy, or which, though proper in itself, appears to the court needlessly offensive in form.
